Electra is constantly innovating to make electric vehicle charging easier, with a network of fast charging stations (20 minutes on average) and a maximally simplified user experience.
Based in Paris, Lyon, Bordeaux, Nantes, Brussels, Madrid, Barcelona, Zurich, Vienna, Munich, Milan, Luxembourg, Amsterdam and Prague, Electra's teams aim to deploy a network of 15,000 fast charging points by 2030, proud to contribute to the energy transition in Europe.

💼 Your Missions
As Country Manager Netherlands, you will lead Electra's expansion and operations in one of Europe's most strategic yet challenging EV markets.
You will build and scale the Dutch business from ~10 stations today to 100+ stations and 600 charging points by 2030, while navigating the Netherlands' unique market dynamics (grid congestion, complex permitting, high EV adoption).
Reporting directly to the General Manager of the BeNeLux Region, you will have end-to-end P&L responsibility and lead a cross-functional local team, working closely with Electra's central functions (Development, Operations, Finance...).

Business Growth & Network Expansion
Deploy stations to reach 100+ stations by 2030, balancing speed and profitability.
Build and maintain a pipeline of 30-40 pre-qualified sites at all times.
Identify and secure strategic locations: urban hubs, highways, retail partnerships, B2B fleets.
Optimize site selection using data-driven methodologies (traffic, EV density, grid capacity, competition).
Lead negotiations with real estate partners, municipalities, and private landowners.
2. Strategic Partnerships
Structure long-term deals with compelling value propositions (foot traffic, rental revenues, CSR).
Build relationships with key decision-makers in retail, hospitality, commercial real estate, and fleet operators.
Explore B2B opportunities: taxi fleets, delivery companies, corporate partnerships.
3. Operational Excellence
Manage local operations team (maintenance, customer support, field ops).
Collaborate with Electra's central Operations team to implement preventive maintenance and rapid incident response.
Drive continuous improvement in station performance, charging speed, and user experience.
4. Regulatory & Grid Management
Navigate the Netherlands' grid congestion crisis: minimize connection delays.
Build strong relationships with DNOs/DSOs (Alliander, Stedin, Enexis) to anticipate grid constraints.
Master permitting processes and ensure 100% compliance with Dutch and EU regulations (AFIR, RED III, 2025 obligations).
Explore solutions to grid challenges: battery storage, demand response, smart charging.
5. P&L & Financial Performance
Own the P&L for the Netherlands.
Model profitability site-by-site before committing; optimize pricing and utilization.
Leverage RED III credits and flexibility services to improve margins.
6. Team Leadership & Culture
Build, lead, and develop the Dutch team.
Recruit, onboard, and retain top talent across commercial, operations, project management, and support functions.
Foster Electra's culture: Passion, Simplicity, Audacity
Ensure alignment with HQ while maintaining local agility and decision-making autonomy.
😎 Your Profile
+10 years of professional experience, including at least 4-5 years in a leadership role (Country Manager, GM, Head of Operations, or equivalent)
Proven track record of building and scaling operations from early stage (0→1 or 1→100)
Experience managing multi-site operations (ideally 20-50+ sites) and physical infrastructure
P&L ownership: demonstrated ability to grow revenues, manage CAPEX/OPEX, and drive profitability
Experience in EV charging, energy, mobility, or infrastructure sectors (or adjacent: real estate, retail expansion, fleet management).
Technical acumen: understanding of EV charging infrastructure, grid connections, permitting, and construction projects.
Commercial & partnership skills: proven ability to negotiate complex B2B deals (real estate, retail, hospitality)
Operational rigor: experience ensuring high service quality and uptime in a physical asset-intensive business Regulatory navigation: ability to work with utilities, municipalities, and regulators to overcome barriers
Entrepreneurial mindset: comfortable with ambiguity, fast-paced environments, and building from scratch
Resilience & adaptability: ability to navigate setbacks (permitting delays, grid congestion, market challenges) Passion for sustainability: genuine excitement about the energy transition and Electra's mission.
Languages: Fluent Dutch (native or professional fluency): essential for interactions with DNOs, municipalities, landlords, and partners.
Fluent English: to collaborate with Electra's international team and HQ.
French is a plus but not required.
Based in Amsterdam, Willingness to travel regularly across the Netherlands and occasionally to Electra HQ (Paris) or other European markets.
