🏠 What Do We Do?
Born in 2021 from the desire to make cities less polluted and quieter, Electra is helping to shift usage towards electric mobility by tackling the main barrier: charging.
Electra is constantly innovating to make electric vehicle charging easier, with a network of fast charging stations (20 minutes on average) and a maximally simplified user experience.
Based in Paris, Lyon, Bordeau, Nantes, Brussels, Madrid, Zurich, Vienna, Munich, Milan and Amsterdam, Electra's teams aim to deploy a network of 15,000 fast charging points by 2030, proud to contribute to the energy transition in Europe.
In 5 years, we have:
Deployed +700 stations and over 4000 fast-charging points
Secured thousands of stations to establish Electra as a leader in the European market
Opened several offices in France and Europe
Raised over €1 billion in equity and debt financing from renowned investors and institutions
Joined the French Tech Next 40 and won the European Scale-up of the Year 2024 award
Assembled a team of over +250 talents… and this is just the beginning !
💼 Your Mission
The team's mission
The Internal Tools team builds the company operating system for execution: the shared technical foundations that help every team work more effectively through trusted tools and automation. We connect systems, build reusable internal tools, and enable reliable automation across the company. Our goal is a scalable platform navigable not only by humans but also by agents, enabling intelligent automation at scale.
Your role in this mission
As a Software Engineer on the team, you'll own projects end-to-end: from understanding a team's pain point, to shipping a proof-of-concept, to turning it into something reliable people use every day. You'll sit close to the people you build for, ship fast, learn from real usage, and iterate.
This is a hands-on, scrappy role. You won't wait for perfect specs. You'll build, demo, gather feedback, and improve, with a strong bias for action over perfection. You'll jump across stacks and domains (back-end, integrations, automation, a bit of front-end, ML where it helps) and grow fast alongside experienced engineers.
🦸 Your Responsibilities
Own projects end-to-end
Take projects from idea to production: scope, build, ship, iterate
Build POCs quickly to validate ideas before investing in robust solutions
Take real ownership of what you ship, including its reliability and adoption
Build directly with and for teams
Work hand-in-hand with teams across Electra (ops, finance, sales, and more) to understand their needs
Translate messy, real-world problems into simple, reliable tools and automations
Gather feedback directly from users and turn it into improvements
Be hands-on across the stack
Write clean, pragmatic code across back-end, APIs, and integrations
Jump into unfamiliar technologies and domains as needed (one day Go, the next a SAP API, the next an n8n workflow)
Contribute to the platform foundations that connect our tools and prepare them for an agentic future
😎 Your Profile
You're an early-career engineer (0–3 years) who loves building things that get used. You're scrappy, curious, and happiest when you're hands-on solving a real problem for real people. You don't need everything spelled out: you figure it out, ship something, and improve it.
Technical skills
Must
Solid software engineering fundamentals (back-end, APIs, integrations)
Ability and appetite to learn new technologies fast and switch contexts
Comfort building POCs and shipping iteratively
Interest in automation and AI-enabled / agentic workflows
Nice to have
Workflow automation tooling (n8n, Zapier, Make…)
Front-end engineering
Some exposure to data pipelines, ML, or infra (cloud, CI/CD)
Comfort using AI coding tools in your workflow
Behavioral skills
Ownership and pragmatism: you ship and you care
Bias for action: build and demo over endless planning
Curiosity and adaptability: eager to learn, comfortable out of your depth
Cross-functional collaboration: at ease talking to non-technical teams
