Born in 2021 from the desire to make cities less polluted and quieter, Electra is helping to shift usage towards electric mobility by tackling the main barrier: charging.
Electra is constantly innovating to make electric vehicle charging easier, with a network of fast charging stations (20 minutes on average) and a maximally simplified user experience.
Based in Paris, Lyon, Bordeaux, Nantes, Brussels, Madrid, Zurich, Vienna, Munich, Milan and Amsterdam, Electra’s teams aim to deploy a network of 15,000 fast charging points by 2030, proud to contribute to the energy transition in Europe.
In 4 years, we have:
• Deployed 400 stations and over 2000 fast-charging points.
• Secured thousands of stations to establish Electra as a leader in the European market.
• Opened several offices in France and Europe.
• Raised over €750 million in equity and debt financing from renowned investors and institutions.
• Joined the French Tech Next 40 and won the European Scale-up of the Year 2024 award.

💼 Your Mission
As an Engineering Manager within the “Network” team, you will play a pivotal role in driving the development of software that powers Electra's charging infrastructure. Based in Paris, this position offers the opportunity to manage a high-performing team, manage a real physical infrastructure, and shape the future of electric mobility.
This is an intense yet highly rewarding ride where you’ll make a tangible impact on the future of electric mobility.
🦸♀️🦸 Your Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of talented engineers to ensure the delivery of robust, scalable, and innovative solutions on topics such as:
- Infrastructure monitoring
- Flawless communication with hundreds of 3rd-party service providers
- Energy management
- Evolution of industry-wide standards
- Foster a high-performing and collaborative team culture by actively engaging with team members, supporting career development, and addressing challenges.
- Take ownership of projects, from initial design to deployment and long-term maintenance, with a focus on ensuring reliability and scalability.
- Collaborate with the Product and Operations teams to align on roadmap priorities, negotiate project scopes, and manage timelines.
- Improve work organization to enhance delivery metrics and operational excellence.
- Deep dive into technical challenges when needed, providing hands-on support and guidance to the team.
😎 Your Profile
- Education: Engineering degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years in software development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role managing teams.
- Technical expertise:
- Significant experience in backend and web development is a plus, as is experience in Ruby, Go or TypeScript.
- Exposure to AWS or other cloud infrastructures is also a bonus.
- Understanding of modern delivery practices, including continuous delivery.
- Leadership mindset:
- A proven ability to inspire, motivate, and drive teams toward success in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated experience in improving engineering processes and fostering team growth.
- A proactive approach to identifying and resolving bottlenecks or roadblocks.
